Inspection Associates Inc. is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned and Operated company, founded in 1998, with deep expertise in construction inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, development, and application. Over time, the company has expanded its capabilities to include a comprehensive range of advanced inspection solutions—including traditional Inspection Services, cutting-edge NDT techniques, and the deployment of the world’s only mobile Computed Tomography (CT) unit. Inspection Associates has successfully delivered services across 36 countries.

Matt Medford

Matt Medford, President/CEO

Matt Medford is a seasoned professional with over 12 years of experience spanning both combat and peacetime operations. His background includes project management, security, safety, and risk management, with significant involvement in Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Inherent Resolve. Throughout his military service, Matt developed a disciplined, mission-focused approach to leadership, operational planning, and risk mitigation.

Since 2011, Matt has served in key roles within the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Inspection Services industry, where he has accumulated more than a decade of operational management experience. His industry expertise includes sales leadership, safety program development, and operational management, with a consistent focus on delivering high-quality services while maintaining strict compliance with safety and quality standards.

Matt’s multifaceted background—combining military leadership with technical inspection industry experience—provides him with a unique perspective that drives organizational performance. He is deeply committed to fostering a culture of safety, integrity, and accountability, and plays a vital role in advancing both operational excellence and long-term strategic growth within the organization.

James Medford

James Medford, Founder, Sr. Exec. VP/COO
James Medford has been in the Oil & Gas industry since 1981, with extensive experience in construction, fabrication, welding, repairs, quality assurance/quality control, and inspection of subsea and topside equipment, pipelines, fabrication facilities, pipe mills, machine shops, offshore platforms, construction sites, and coating mills/job shops.

Ken Hacker

Ken Hacker, USMC (Ret), VP of Non-Destructive Testing, Director of HSE, Quality Manager

Since 2020, Ken has successfully held a variety of impactful roles in the Oil and Gas industry, including Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE), Training, Compliance, Quality Management, Human Resources, and Project/Operations Management. He is a certified Master Evaluator with both Veriforce and Energy WorldNet.

Ken also brings over 20 years of civilian emergency response experience, along with more than two decades of military service in both combat and peacetime operations. His expertise includes project, security, safety, and risk management, as well as risk assessment and mitigation strategies. He possesses strong capabilities in personnel and asset management, and quality control across a wide spectrum of logistical, ground, aviation, and administrative operations.

Chelsea Medford, Office Manager

Chelsea Medford has overseen the company’s administrative and operational infrastructure since 2018. As Office Manager, she supports the internal systems and oversight functions that keep both field and office operations running efficiently.

She has played a central role in modernizing the company’s core processes, including implementing multi-state payroll systems, streamlining tax compliance, and transitioning to updated accounting platforms that improve accuracy and efficiency. She was also instrumental in establishing the company’s 401(k) program, expanding long-term benefits for employees across the organization.

She works closely in the review and oversight of the company’s insurance programs, participating in audits, renewal strategy, and coverage decisions to support responsible risk management.

With a background in healthcare, Chelsea brings a disciplined, detail-focused approach to operations and compliance. Her experience fosters a high level of accountability and precision in system development and process management.

In addition to systems leadership, she manages and supports a strong administrative team, cultivating a collaborative and solutions-oriented environment. Chelsea is committed to continuous improvement, consistently identifying ways to streamline workflows and reduce administrative burden — even beyond her direct scope — to strengthen overall organizational performance.
